This policy describes how the Origin Ascendants community website handles information when you browse the site, create an account, post in the forums, contribute to the wiki or contact the team. It applies to this website and the community features offered here; Discord and Minecraft are separate services with their own policies.
The site is operated as a community project. Before launch, the operators should replace the contact details below with monitored addresses and confirm that the policy matches the hosting region, provider configuration and applicable law.
Information We Collect#
The information we process depends on the features you use. We do not request or store your account password in this website's profile tables; Supabase Auth manages authentication credentials.
- Account information: email address and authentication identifiers managed by Supabase Auth; when you use Discord sign-in, information Discord returns for authentication, such as your Discord account identifier, username and (if provided) email address.
- Public profile information: username, display name, biography, avatar URL, community role, reputation and join date.
- Community content: forum threads, replies, reactions, wiki articles and revisions, images you upload, and announcements or comments you choose to make public.
- Private and safety information: private messages, notification preferences/read state, reports you submit, moderation decisions and audit records of staff actions.
- Technical information: session cookies required for sign-in and security, plus technical logs that may be generated by the hosting, authentication, storage and delivery providers.
How Information Is Used#
- Create and secure your account, verify email addresses, support Discord sign-in and help you recover access.
- Display your public profile and attribute your posts, wiki revisions, badges and other contributions.
- Operate forums, wiki discussions, notifications, private messages, search, moderation reports and community administration.
- Detect spam, abuse, unauthorized access and violations of community standards; preserve relevant moderation and audit records.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve the website and its services.
Public profiles, published forum content, wiki pages, revisions and activity may be visible to anyone. Private messages are intended for their participants and are protected by database access policies, but staff may access relevant content when necessary to respond to reports or investigate abuse.
Cookies and Analytics#
Authentication uses essential session cookies so the site can recognize a signed-in account and protect requests. These cookies are not used by this project for advertising.
No separate analytics or advertising service is configured in the website source at the time of this policy. Hosting or security providers may process technical request data as part of delivering and protecting the service; their own settings and policies also apply.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent account and community features from working. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Service Providers and Transfers#
- Supabase: provides authentication, database and image storage. Account and community data is processed according to the project's Supabase region and configuration.
- Discord: provides OAuth sign-in and hosts the separate Discord community. Discord receives and processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: may process CAPTCHA interaction and technical data to help prevent automated account creation when enabled.
- Website hosting and delivery providers: deliver pages and may process request metadata, such as IP addresses and browser details, for operation and security.
These providers may process information in locations outside your own. Provider locations, safeguards and retention depend on the production configuration. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Data Retention and Protection#
Information is retained for as long as needed to operate your account and the community, keep content history coherent, resolve reports, protect the service and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods for provider logs, backups and deleted data depend on the configured services.
We use access controls, authentication, database row-level security and storage policies intended to limit access to account and private data. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Keep your credentials private, use a unique password and secure your Discord account.
To request account closure or deletion, contact us. Some public contributions may be anonymized or retained in revision/moderation records where needed for community integrity or safety; we will explain any limits that apply. Removing an account does not necessarily immediately remove provider backups.
Your Rights#
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

The community website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Do not create an account if you are below the minimum age required by the law where you live or by the services used to sign in.
